PRELUDE project extension Participation of “test-beds” regions from NAS is the key point for the proper implementation of one of the running EC IST PRELUDE project - especially for linking eEurope Action Plan with eEurope+ iniciative. The Czech partner will assist to include users from the candidate country into European networks and will contribute especially to the achieving the next PRELUDE objectives: 1. To prepare the grounds for the 6FP of RTD at the regional and local level in Europe,including dissemination of results of IST projects and promoting clusters for innovation with the participation of regional actors. 2. The support of the eEurope and eEurope plus with the special attention to NAS countries, which are implementing their own strategies in the framework of eEurope. 3. To establish permanent forms of cooperation and direct links with different European networks and associations, acting in the interest of the ICT industry and SMEs. 4. To create during the lifetime of the project appropriate conditions to ensure the sustainability of PRELUDE objectives and initiatives after its conclusion. The partnership of the Czech region in this master initiative of the European network ELANET (European Local Authorities' Telematic Network), acting as the Information Society network of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR), will create a direct links with nine main European Regions and eris@, the European Regional Information Society Association involving a significant number of Regions (Objective 1 and 2), under the structural funds programme of the European Union. Objectives mentioned above will be implemented in the ninth Dogotal Area according to the operational goals, targets and main tasks of the PRELUDE project, according to XX workpackages: From the side of the Czech partner the objectives of the PRELUDE will be achieved by a synergy of regional (Vysocina Region) and national (BMI Association) activities, related to the development of basic services involving Local and Regional governments. Thus will be the input to the pilot scenario for future horizontal cooperation between Regions and Local governments in the enlarged EU.
