| GoDigital conference in Prague 14.6.2002
Czech companies are not far behind Europe in the field of eCommerce: the penetration of the Internet among SMEs is higher only in Finland, Sweden, Austria and Germany comparing to the Czech Republic. According the large research provided by DEMA Czech research company on the request of BMI association and TELE2: 78 per cent of the Czech small and medium sized companies up to 100 employees have the access to the Internet. Czech companies are ready to take advantage of the Internet also in other fields similar way as European ones do. This is the main conclusion of the conference called Go Digital -towards eBusiness, which took place in May 21, 2002, in the dealing room of the Senate in Prague. The conference has been organized by BMI Association, Office for Public Information Systems (UVIS), Committee of economy, agriculture and transport of the Senate with a support of TELE2, Redbus Interhouse (Czech), ENERGIA consortium and Unicorn company.
