PRELUDE in the Czech Republic confirmed
10.7.2002

PRELUDE

The agreement between European Comission (www.cordis.lu) and Prelude project extension (KAII; http://www.cordis.lu/ist/ka2/existingprojectsbyacronym.htm) finaly signed.

PRELUDE is a EU project financed by the European Commission as an accompanying measure to the IST programme (http://rap100.net/prelude/).
Its nearest objective is to disseminate throughout the European Regions interesting practices supported by administrations that have been successfully experimented at local, regional or European level.
The overall aim is to have clusters for innovation working in key digital areas. These clusters are meant to be European public-private partnerships well focused on territorial needs at regional and sub-regional level that have developed common grounds and a sound methodology to carry out large integrated projects.
This project is therefore a “prelude” both to the Sixth Framework Programme of Research and Technology Development of the European Commission (2003-2007), as to the implementation of e-Europe 2005.

The Czech Prelude partners are the BMI Association (http://www.brezen.cz) and the Vysocina Region (http://www.kr-vysocina.cz/). The main focus of the Czech participation is evaluation of possible technology transfer and dissemination activities in the Vysocina region as well as throughout the Czech Republic. We are going to exchange and mediate the information about the PRELUDE project and partners from the EC countries as well as the Polish participant of the Prelude (http://prelude.silesia-region.pl/).
