INSPO 2004 conference in Prague
3.2.2004

The conference is organised by the BMI Association together with the Association of information systems for people with specific needs (AISO) and the Krizovatka (Crossroad) Web portal. The objective of the conference is to show possibilities on how people with disabilities can find their place on the work market, and be better involved in the social life.

Last year representatives of Mid-West region visited the INSPO to introduce Prelude project and the Irish experiences in this area. This year more international speakers will come to address the conference with keynotes:

Gareth Huges,  ERIS@:  e-Communities and how disadvantaged people can be incorporated
Tony Vereist, ISDAC: Disabled people and possibilities of tele-working
Shadi Abou-Zahra, W3C: New trends of pushing Web accessibility (general introduction)

Czech speakers will focus attention of attendees to the questions of funding of non-profit activities in the area:

Representative of Ministry of work and social care – How the funding of projects of organisation of people with disabilities will be changed after Czechia will join the EU
Jitka Krcilova, Ministry of informatics: Introduction of two grant programs - “Information Society”, and “Education and human resource development”
Milan Macuga, Abel Computer: How to make quality and cheap printing (not only from Internet)

The conference will include three tracks focused on different topics: Webmasters and Web accessibility; People with disabilities and possibilities of work; ERIS@ and international projects.

Final plenary session will introduce concrete projects – for instance the Bezbarier (Without barriers) one of the Vysocina region.
